The weather around here is quickly starting to cool down (but… this is New England and the weather is known to go from 45 to 87 from one day to the other) and I wanted to share my FALL FAVORITES with you all!
Fall is my all time favorite season and living in New England we have an awesome fall! The weather is perfect for sleeping, wearing Ugg boots, drinking hot chocolate and driving around looking at all the trees with their beautiful ombre leaves.
I’ve set out my fall candles and decorations, which includes the cutest Owl candle holder EVER and started decorating my house for fall. A few of my favorites are the Marshmallow Fireside 3-wick Candle from Bath & Body Works, these babies smell so good and burn evenly right down to the bottom! Another B&BW favorite are the Mason Jar hand soaps in Honey crisp Apple and Crimson Plum. My favorite little wallflower plug and candle holder are also from B&BW, from last season, they just seem to “get” fall and you can’t beat the prices! Next up will be my fall doorwreaths
and pumpkins for my front porch. I can’t wait to share with you my pumpkins (that’d I’d like to buy and decorate now, but that might freak out the neighbors).I’ve also started my fall wardrobe wish list which includes warm cardigans, knee high boots and my all time favorite fall accessory, scarves!
We’re (meaning me because I haven’t let the hubs in on this idea yet) are hoping to have a “Good Bye Summer, HELLLLO FALL” cookout with a S ‘mores Bar!
Below is one of our FAVORITE fall time desserts, quick & easy.. only problem is you can never eat just 1!
MINI MONKEY BREADS
What you’ll need:
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup of melted butter
¼ cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
2 cans of refrigerated biscuits (I use store brand)
Preheat over to 350°F
Spray a 12 cup muffin tin and set aside
In a bowl mix the melted butter and brown sugar, spoon 1 tablespoon of this mixture into each muffin cup
In a 1-gallon size bag mix the granulated sugar and the ground cinnamon.
Separate the biscuits dough into 20 biscuits and cut each into 6-8 pieces. Throw a handful of pieces into the sugar and cinnamon mix and shake until coated on all sides, place coated pieces in muffin tin on top of butter and brown sugar mixture. Continue until all pieces are coated and in muffin tin.
Bake for 15-17 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 2 minutes, turn upside down onto a serving tray. Serve warm and enjoy.. now try to eat just one!
Can’t wait to share some more fall recipes with you in these next few weeks. What are your Favorite Things for Fall?!
ADIOS SUMMER, see you next year!
